Meet Lakshmi, FinTech Mentor on Upnotch

Lakshmi Manjoosha Adapa, Upnotch Member, is a Lead FinTech Product Manager at Hopper.

An experienced IT infrastructure solutions consultant, product manager, and water research professional, Lakshmi holds a PhD in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, specializing in Sustainable Water Engineering. She has extensive expertise in scaling platforms globally, managing engineering projects, and building teams for both large-scale (100M+ users), small-scale organisations and also startups.

With certifications in CSPO, ITIL4, Prince2, PSM1, and Leading SaFe4 Agilist, she is skilled in Agile Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps methodologies. Lakshmi is passionate about UI/UX, algorithms, machine learning, and leveraging technology to enhance wellbeing, particularly in empowering women against abuse.

She has co-authored a book Dynamics of Water Innovation, analysing water and wastewater processing technologies and outlining future growth areas in the field. Last year, she was nominated by my peers and was shortlisted as one of the Top 6 in the Asian Women of Achievement Awards under the Technology & Digital category, and also was shortlisted as one of this year’s TechWomen100.
