Dr. Jeannine Williams, Upnotch Mentor, is a dedicated Learning and Development executive committed to defining vision and executing program strategies that meet the academic, financial, retention, and growth objectives of institutions where she has been fortunate to serve.
Currently, Dr. Williams serves as the Director of Educational Services at Birch Agency for the Michigan, Ohio, and the Southwest Region where she firmly believes in putting school-based educators in positions where they shine and developing strong collaborative partnerships with her client school leadership.
Dr. Williams served as the Director of Staff Recruitment & Retention and School Administrator at Quest Charter Academy and was as a key member of the executive team focused on development and retention of 100 staff members In this role, Dr. Williams was responsible for creating a master’s curriculum for a partnership program with Illinois State University to enable Peoria Public Schools educators’ access to an accredited two-year principal preparation program.
Additionally, Dr. Williams is currently an Adjunct Faculty Member at Gwynedd Mercy and serving as a dissertation advisor to several doctoral students. Also, she served as an Adjunct Faculty at Illinois State University where she was responsible for creating the university’s Education Administration Foundation Department. She successfully re-established a two-year principal preparation program curriculum which yielded approximately $230K in new revenue.
Previously, Dr. Williams served as the School Administrator for Nexus Academy of Lansing where she led an innovative academy delivering a blend of online and classroom instruction. Prior to her time with Nexus Academy, Jeannine was the Chief School Administrator for Central Michigan University where she directed all administrative operations for Shabazz Public School Academy, a member of the Central Michigan University charter school network.
Dr. Williams has worked tirelessly to develop strategic partnerships and programs that advocate for educational access and student success among diverse, non-traditional, and underserved populations. She has served as guest speaker and subject matter expert on the topic of Understanding Diversity & Being Culturally Responsive Educators to organizations such as the American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA), Virginia Association for Teachers of Family & Consumer Sciences (VATFACS), and the Virginia Commonwealth University Teachers of Color Conference. Additionally, she founded Jae-9’s Educational Consulting to elevate diversity and cultural awareness in educational leadership for administration for K-12 and higher education.
Dr. Williams recently earned Je Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education Leadership from Gwynedd Mercy University.
