Meet Vanessa, Startup Mentor on Upnotch

Vanessa Nascimento, Upnotch Member, is the Co-Founder at Local.Foundation and Mezzegra Green Energy.

With a background in Psychology and over nine years of experience in the tech industry, she has founded and managed two startups and is currently building her third. A certified Scrum Master, Product Owner and Agile Leader, she specializes in helping small and medium-sized companies transition from traditional waterfall methodologies to agile practices. She has also spent the last two years (2022 and 2023) consulting for the major energy company in Portugal and supporting leadership development in areas like team building, innovation, and work-life balance.

She is deeply committed to fostering a thriving tech ecosystem in Portugal. Previously, she was the Vice President of Algarve Evolution, a nonprofit tech association, and a co-founder of Algarve Tech Hub, where she collaborated with government and industry leaders to drive innovation in her home region.
