Steven Freidmutter, Upnotch Mentor, is CEO of SF Ventures, a company that he uses as an umbrella for everything he’s done over the past 10 years.
Steven is a successful entrepreneur and investor. He has been investing in startups and funds in Africa for many years now, working with 40 companies in 15 countries. He's an investor and advisor with Chloe Capital, a venture firm investing in startups with women founders and diverse management teams and he’s also an investor with Astia Angels, a global angel group.
Steve was appointed Visiting Entrepreneur at Cornell University from 2012-2015. His mission was to connect the university's vast portfolio of IP and patents with investors and management teams, to commercialize their assets.
Prior to that, Steven also lived for 10 years in Costa Rica where he owned a coffee farm and sold his coffee to people all over the world.
