With over 15 years of dedicated service as a leadership consultant, Debra has significantly contributed to the realms of leadership, organizational effectiveness, management, and equity & inclusion. Her consultancy, Visioning Values, has been instrumental in offering transformative solutions to public safety and nonprofit organizations.
Prior to her consultancy career, Chief Jarvis devoted 25 years to public safety, including eight years as a fire chief in the Chicago suburbs and 17 years in the Indianapolis area, serving as Director of Education and Safety. Her extensive background encompasses seven years on the Human Relations Committee for the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Additionally, she has been an Executive Board member of Healing Racism/Chicago Southland and volunteers as a race relations facilitator.
She excels in leadership development and is also a part-time facilitator for Cornell University's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate programs.
