Galen Takamura, Upnotch Member, is a Senior Project Manager at 8x8, a SaaS provider of voice, video, chat, contact center and enterprise-class API solutions powered by one global cloud communications platform.
He’s a brilliant leader with over a decade of experience scaling global projects and programs who recently transitioned to the tech industry. Prior to that, he was in the military where he served for 10 years.
Galen is also a breakdancer and with several passion projects that include volunteering at local programs focused on empowering community youth and helping them realize their full potential through dance.
He truly believes in mentorship and would be an excellent mentor to any veteran transitioning to the workforce, or any new project manager interested in process improvement, operation excellence or in certifications. He’d also love to connect with other project managers who started without a tech background to share knowledge and experience.
